About Dr. Tahir
Dr. Tahir graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, and graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. She has since worked in private practice in Colts Neck and Newark, New Jersey where she was the official chiropractor for Delta Airlines, implementing strong corporate wellness initiatives. Dr. Tahir is currently in practice at Dundas University Health Clinic in Toronto, Ontario.
Currently Dr. Tahir is lecturing for The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in the Anatomy & Physiology department.
Dr. Tahir uses a variety of manipulative techniques in conjunction with specific muscle release therapies (Active Release Technique), nutritional counselling, orthotics, exercise and physical therapeutics to allow patients to achieve their maximal health potential.
She participates in many educational opportunities including, The American College of Sports Medicine 2008 Health & Fitness Summit, 2007 Ingersoll Centre for Seniors Diabetes Health Fair, 2007 Annual Chiropractic Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas and was involved in providing chiropractic care to the athletes of the 2006 ING New York City Marathon. Dr. Tahir continues to remain actively involved in community events, and her next event will be in London, Ontario as the keynote speaker for the Canadian Diabetes Association Expo on May 28th.
Dr. Tahir enjoys presenting and exhibiting for corporate “lunch and learns” and health fairs on a variety of topics which have included: Injury Prevention and safety, Obesity in Canada, Nutrition and Exercise, Low Back Safety and Neck Pain.
She is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, Ontario Chiropractic Association, New Jersey State Chiropractic Association, American College of Sports Medicine and the International Chiropractic Association. Dr. Tahir actively serves as a volunteer for The Canadian Diabetes Association.
